Glitter Pumpkin

6 x 8 inch Canvas
Pencil
Liquid School Glue
Charcoal Pencil (optional)

Step One
To get started, draw an outline of a pumpkin on the canvas with a pencil. If you use a regular pencil, you will want to use a light hand. If you push too hard, it can pierce the canvas. If you are worried about this, you can use a pencil with softer lead, like a charcoal pencil. Draw a general outline for the pumpkin as well as the ridges/lines in the pumpkin and a stem. You can also add a leaf or vine coming off of the stem, if you would like.
Step Two
Add a thick bead of glue on one line of pumpkin at a time. This is the ridge of the pumpkin that will have a slightly lighter color glitter added to it. Go ahead and put the glitter on the lines as you go. Be creative here and add different colors as you like and just remember where the light would hit a pumpkin and where the shadows would naturally be on a pumpkin. Use brown for the stem and green for the leaves or vines. Again, let the pumpkin come to life with your different glitter colors and thickness of glue.
Step Three
Lastly, cut a few small pieces of ribbon or burlap and jute and create a small bow to hot glue onto the canvas to add depth and texture to your piece.
